Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art Lois & Richard Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art is a museum of contemporary art located in Cincinnati, Ohio and is one of the premier contemporary art institutions in the United States.
The CAC is more than just a museum, as it has no permanent collection: it is dedicated to new developments in painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, performance art, and new media. Focusing on programming that reflects “the art of the last five minutes,” the CAC has exhibited the works of many famous artists at the beginning of their careers, including Andy Warhol.
In 2003, the CAC moved to a new building designed by Zaha Hadid, making it the first American art museum designed by a woman.
