Sanskar Kendra is a museum located in Ahmedabad, in India. Designed by architect Le Corbusier in 1956, it is a museum dedicated to the culture, art, history and architecture of the city. The building is located at the intersection of the Sardar Bridge on the Sabarmati River.
The museum is placed on pilotis. Entering from below we cross an internal courtyard with a pool and a ramp that leads to the exhibits. On the roof there are 45 water retention basins in which plants grow. The exterior of the building in the structural part is in exposed reinforced concrete, the infill walls are in red brick.
