The project for the expansion of the Chapel and Convent of the Capuchin Sacramental Friars, inaugurated in 1960, is the work of architect Luis Barragán, who not only agreed to carry out the work pro bono, but also to finance part of its construction.
The colors of the walls of this architecture together with the sensitive control of light suggest sensations of serenity and deep spirituality.
The work lasted 7 years, during which the architect passionately and carefully defined the building's many details.
Lighting effects with many and varied intensities, direct, soft, hidden slits from the roof allow the light to filter in and flood the room with warm light, highlighting the triple height of the chapel.
