Fort Worth Modern Art Museum

Tadao Ando – Fort Worth Modern Art Museum, Darnell St. Fort Worth, Texas USA, 2002

The Museum of Modern Art in Fort Worth exemplifies the work of Japanese architect Tadao Ando through its simple geometry, close relationship with the natural environment, and use of very minimal materials. Five flat-roofed pavilions appear to float on the surface of the reflecting pool, like other projects by Ando.
The environment becomes as beautiful as the artworks the museum displays, as it is strongly intertwined with the exhibition spaces through large windows. Glass and water are very complementary, as the still pond reflects the spaces just as glass reflects water.
