For a Spanish architect, making a house in Mexico is a privilege. Making a house in Monterrey is a gift. Making the house of the TEC de Monterrey draw is everything. And, logically, I did my best to make that house the most beautiful house in the world. This is my attempt, like every new architecture that falls into my hands.
Because it could not be less, if Barragán is always present in all my architecture, more so in this case. This is why I decided that my house not only had to be flooded with light, but that light had to be gilded with Barragán's gold.
To do this, after creating a diagonal space resulting from the concatenation of two double-height spaces, I decided to make the high vertical facade through which all the southern light would pass golden and fill it with that much sought-after golden hue.
This is why this house filled with light will be of golden light, and therefore will be a true DOMUS AUREA.
Functionally, the house is divided into three floors. On the ground floor, the most public areas. The continuity with the garden will be through verandas and shaded areas. On the upper floor, the bedrooms and the living space that overlooks the spaces of the ground floor. In the highest part, on the roof, more private areas where we would like to include the pool.
We dream of a white, serene house, full of light, golden light where its inhabitants are happy.
