The client, M. Felix, the graduate director of Bank Societe Henfel, commissioned the house as a corporate retreat for his private use. Discretion and relaxation combined as primary requirements. Here, as a weekend retreat in the vicinity of Paris France.
The house is built on a corner of the land with exposed quarry stone walls. The vaulted roof in reinforced concrete is covered with earth and grass from the adjacent land higher up, forming a cave, like a shelter for a modern hermit.
The interior is finely finished with plywood, exposed brick walls painted with lime, fireplace in exposed common bricks.
Glass block or crystal windows, the environment is full of light and with an open view towards the garden.
