House Ozenfant
Le Corbusier – Ozenfant House, Maison-atelier du Peintre Ozenfant, Paris, 1922
Location
Paris, France
Year
1922
Architect
Le Corbusier
In 1922, some time after starting his collaboration with Ozenfant, Le Corbusier made a studio at the painter's house. This is the first work Le Corbusier built in Paris.
The facade is not only a product of the result of the arrangement of the interior spaces, Le Corbusier who was a perfectionist controlled the light in the smallest detail.
The two facades are pure proportion, pure mathematics. You can find relationships between the entire extension of the facade and the windows, you can draw angles with the same inclination at all levels, this shows the great influence that classical works such as the Parthenon had on Le Corbusier.
