Pine House

Pino house, Vicálvaro, Madrid, Spain, 1998

Architect: Alberto Campo Baeza. Location: Vicálvaro, Madrid, Spain. Project: 1998. Area: 320 sq. m. Collaborators: Gonzalo Torcal Fdez-Corugedo. Structures: Mª Concepción Pérez Gutiérrez.

This is a small house where the spaces are arranged in such a way as to have a large house.
On the small plot, 12 x 8 m, the zoning requires that the structure be separated 4 m from the road and 4 m from the rear. We excavate a full basement and raise three levels. On the ground floor a hole is opened and the rear patio is glazed to produce a diagonal space with diagonal sunlight flowing through it. Again a diagonal space with diagonal light, this time with the precision of a clock.
