Approval of the Price List, 2020 edition, for public building and plant works in Lazio.
The update of the Price List is in line with the criteria underlying the 2012 edition, of which the structure, as well as the general criteria and calculation methods used are confirmed.
The initial objectives of the Commission established to update the 2012 edition of the Price List concerned the correction of evident inconsistencies and/or obsolescence present in the previous edition, the overcoming of technological gaps due to the arrival of new regulations, as well as the updating of prices limited to those categories of workmanship that had suffered a significant increase in the cost of materials in the reference time period, from 2012 to today.
However, in light of the data collected, the Commission has come up with a document which, compared to the previous edition – 2012 – and the premises mentioned above, presents adjustments which essentially concern the following aspects:
new regulatory requirements, in which area we can include the chapters relating to cables and conductors and LED lighting for electrical systems, PEAD and PVC pipes for aqueducts and sewers for Road Works; price additions relating to categories of work missing in the previous edition, relating to: geophysical tests, consolidations and restorations, archaeological excavations and the part concerning microtunnelling, prices relating to small maintenance interventions as well as plasterboard walls and false ceilings, waterproofing, coverings with sheets and tactile paths for the blind and costs for anti-covid safety measures.
The Tariff has been added to “PART G” relating to minor maintenance with the specification that this type of work must be understood to include those isolated interventions, characterised by simplicity and non-repetitiveness, which do not require the installation of a specific construction site for their execution, and “PART H” relating to conservation and restoration works of buildings and areas subject to protection.
The time limit for the work that the Commission has imposed on itself to approve this first phase of updating has led to the failure to amend some other price categories which, although outdated in terms of technology, remain within the scope of the tariff, pending a more careful future evaluation, such as for example: components of technological systems, etc.
However, since the work of the Commission will not end with the conclusion of this first phase, but will continue in accordance with what is prescribed. Furthermore, from the procurement code, the topics not covered and/or not sufficiently explored in this first phase may be addressed and better defined in the future.
The need to differentiate the items and prices examined and evaluated, compared to other prices, prompted the Commission to adopt different graphic characters in the sense that:
* newly established items and prices are marked in italics,
* other prices are written in the tariff in normal font.
