Robert Charles Venturi Jr. (Philadelphia, 25 June 1925 - Philadelphia, 18 September 2018) was an American architect, one of the leading exponents of the postmodern current.

After graduating from Princeton University in 1947, he obtained a master's degree there (M.F.A.). From 1950 to 1954 he collaborated in Oskar Stonorov's Philadelphia studio. Venturi then won a scholarship from the American Academy in Rome where he stayed from 1954 to 1956. He collaborated with Eero Saarinen and Louis Kahn before opening his own studio in 1958. .....
