Le Corbusier for "maison minimum" meant an accommodation realized through the adoption of the "five points", that is: pilotis, free plan, free façade, ribbon window and roof-terrace. The "maison minimum" was also conceived as a product to be produced in series and, therefore, standardized. Standardization, stated Le Corbusier, is the means by which industry can make an object its own, produce it at low cost and in series.
