Mart Stam – House n° 28-29-30 Weissenhof, Stuttgart, Germany, 1927

Stam contributed this series of terraced houses to the construction of the Weissenhof district in 1927, the permanent housing project developed and presented at the exhibition Die Wohnung (“The Dwelling”), organized by the Deutscher Werkbund in Stuttgart. This put him in the company of Le Corbusier, Peter Behrens, Bruno Taut, Hans Poelzig and Walter Gropius, and the exhibition attracted up to 20.000 visitors a day.
