Arata Isozaki – Museum of Contemporary Art of Los Angeles USA, 1981-1986

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles (MOCA) is a contemporary art museum with three locations in Los Angeles, California. The main branch is located on Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles, near the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The museum exhibits consist mainly of contemporary American and European art created after 1940. Since the museum's inception, MOCA programming has been defined by its multidisciplinary approach to contemporary art.

The headquarters of the MOCA houses around 5,000 works of art created since 1940, including masterpieces by classical contemporary artists and inspirers of new works by emerging artists and mid-career artists from Southern California and from all over the world.
In 1986, the Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, who had never worked on a project in the United States, completed the sandstone building of the city center at Grand Avenue
