Pierre Chareau (Bordeaux, 4 August 1883 – New York, 24 August 1950) was a French architect and designer, author of the famous Glass House.
He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris from 1900 to 1908. Before setting up his own business in 1919, he had worked at the Paris office of the English firm Waring and Gillow.
In 1925 he participated in the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts where he presented the famous office-library for an ambassador. Present in La Sarraz in 1928, he participated in the foundation of the Congrès Internationaux d'Architecture Moderne (CIAM).…..Wikipedia…>>
