Robert Charles Venturi Jr. (Philadelphia, June 25, 1925 – Philadelphia, September 18, 2018) was an American architect, one of the main exponents of the postmodern movement.

After graduating from Princeton University in 1947, he earned a master's degree (MFA). From 1950 to 1954 he worked in Oskar Stonorov's Philadelphia studio. Venturi then won a scholarship to the American Academy in Rome, where he stayed from 1954 to 1956. He collaborated with Eero Saarinen and Louis Kahn before opening his own studio in 1958. .….Wikipedia…>>
