Construction site sign
Among the rules to be respected for those who intend to carry out construction works there is also the obligation to display the construction site sign.
The sign must be displayed in a clearly visible manner, usually near the entrance to the construction site.
The construction site sign must indicate:
- The type of work in progress
- The client
- The company that is running them
- The construction manager
- Work start and end date
Besides these data, all other information indicated in the sign is mandatory.
Compliance with this obligation is often underestimated, but in case of non-exposure, omission of information or placing it in a hidden or inconspicuous way, high fines are risked.
In the case of private works, the dimensions of the sign are established by the special tender specifications, in the case of public works they are set by the Circular of the Ministry of Public Works no. 1729 / UL of 1 June 1990 and established in the minimum size of 1 mt. base x 2 mt. in height.
