The device is used to ensure protection of the rooms located on the underground floors against flooding caused by the backflow of rainwater and waste water.
The valve must be installed in the drain pipes and allows the normal flow of water into the sewer system.
Backflow can be caused by heavy rain, thaw or flooding.
