Model house at the Berlin Exhibition 1931

◄ Return to Mies van der Rohe's architecture

The architect Johann Klaus König writes about this house:

“Mies, in the small Berlin house, completely breaks the masonry box, recomposing it starting from the man who lives in this house, from the physical space that surrounds it and accompanies its movements.
The floor no longer has the same shape and size as the roof surface: the walls are only partitions of the space, and, to visually demonstrate their loss of the characteristic of supporting elements, they often do not reach the ceiling, which is supported by planimetrically point-like elements which in this specific case are chrome-plated steel pillars”

The preview image of this architecture project comes directly from our dwg drawing and it represents exactly the content of the dwg file. To view the image in fullscreen, register and log in.

The drawing is well layered and optimized for 1:100 scale printing. The .ctb file for print thicknesses is downloadable from here. The thickness setting is standard for all Archweb files. Always check if the ctb is in line with your graphic needs.

All Archweb drawings are of excellent graphic quality, designed by us with care and professionalism, probably the best you can find on the net. We remain at your disposal for any information request.
