Brick Masonry
Perforated brick elements are mainly used for:
– internal walls, or partitions, in buildings with different uses (residences, schools, hospitals, etc.);
– separation walls between residential units, between residential units and units with other intended uses (walls between apartments, on stairwells, between residential and non-residential environments, etc.);
-internal false walls of walls made with other materials;
-external perimeter or infill walls.
In some cases the internal walls only partially divide the rooms (walls not at room height, or with one side free), or serve to close the system shafts or to create spaces that can be equipped as built-in wardrobes.
The walls made of perforated brick elements do not have a load-bearing function and must therefore be light enough not to weigh down the structures. Their relative lightness also allows them to be used in re-functionalization and recovery interventions of existing buildings, without problems of excessive load on the floors.
