The drawing highlights various possible floor plan compositions of sofas, armchairs, and coffee tables, organized to create flexible, informal, and welcoming spaces, capable of meeting the new needs of socializing, working, and relaxing.

In recent years, collective spaces have been profoundly transformed: hotel lobbies, waiting areas and common areas are no longer simple passageways, but have become hybrid and multifunctional environmentsIn these contexts, diverse activities such as informal work, meetings, study, conversation, and breaks merge. For this reason, furniture design plays a fundamental role in defining the quality of the space and the user experience.

The illustrated configurations propose modular seating systems which can be organized in different ways: islands of sociality, curved sofas o circular compositions, linear and corner modular systemsThese furnishing schemes therefore represent a useful tool for architects and designers in defining modern common spaces, capable of improving the quality of user experience and responding to new ways of using collective environments.
