Vent wells are devices used in water systems to allow the escape of air that accumulates inside the pipes. They are essential components for the optimal management of water networks, helping to improve the efficiency, safety and longevity of the system.

The structure of the vent wells consists of:

• the body, usually made of corrosion-resistant materials such as cast iron, stainless steel or plastic. They are often located in underground manholes accessible via manhole covers to facilitate maintenance;
• cover, equipped with a locking system that allows access for maintenance;
• vent valves, key components that allow the expulsion of air without allowing water to escape.
