Italian garden 01
1:100 Scale dwg file (meters)
Plan of an Italian garden: a garden style of late Renaissance origin characterised by a geometric subdivision of space.
The garden is typically subdivided into several rectangular or square compartments, called parterres, bordered by low hedges, precisely pruned to create intricate geometric patterns.
The main paths, paved with gravel, cross the garden symmetrically, often intersecting at the centre in a square or central area with a decorative fountain or classical statue.
Each element of the Italian garden is designed to create a feeling of harmony, beauty and order, reflecting the Renaissance ideal of balance between art and nature.
The proposed scheme is inspired by the garden of Villa della Petraia.
