Stabilizing works 07 – Pilings
Scale 1:100
Live palisades with cuttings and/or seedlings are successfully used in stabilizing interventions on slopes and embankments, whether natural or artificial, in disrepair. This system promotes the re-greening of slopes through the formation of fixed wooden structures, which have the function of forming small terraces upstream of which the soil collects. In this way, a more resistant structure is created along the contour lines than wicker, in which dense "combs" of cuttings and/or rooted seedlings are buried. The development of the root system guarantees the consolidation of the soil, while the aerial part helps to contain surface erosion.
