Stabilizing works 09 – Steps

Scale 1:100

Stepped with cuttings (bush arrangement according to Schiechtl).
This system requires that a bed of cuttings of woody plants with good vegetative reproduction capacity (willows, tamarisks, poplars and other species) be placed on the bottom of the excavation, arranged in a “comb” pattern, in a number varying from 10 to 30 per linear metre. The cuttings, covered with soil from the excavation of the upper step, must have a minimum length of approximately 100 cm with trunk diameters of approximately 1-7 cm and must protrude outwards for approximately 1/4 of their length.
