Toyota Yaris (2008)
The Toyota Yaris is a passenger car classified as a segment B subcompact produced by the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota since 1999.
The Yaris designation is used in Europe, Australia and the United States of America, while in Canada the car is sold as the Toyota Echo. In Japan and some Asian countries it is marketed as Toyota Vitz. The hatchback version is sold as Yaris Sedan and Toyota Belta.

The term Yaris comes from the union between a Greek and a German word: "Charis" the singular form of Charites (Charites or Graces), the Greek goddesses of charm, beauty and elegance, while the initial Ya, in German means "yes" , symbolizes the positive perception that the European market would have had for the style of the car.
