Regulation for the definition of the technical characteristics
The cycle paths
The cycle paths are protected routes or in any case reserved for bicycles, where motorized traffic is generally excluded. The purpose of these routes is to separate cycle traffic from motorized traffic and pedestrian traffic, which have different speeds, to improve road safety and facilitate the movement of vehicles. Precisely for the greater safety of cyclists, they also play the role of a tool for shifting mobility quotas from private motorized vehicles to bicycles, thus reducing congestion and pollution.
