Office Buildings in Viale Regina Margherita

Office buildings of the National Social Security Institute for Employees of Public Law Entities (ENPDEP).
The complex, built in 1964 and located at the intersection of Via Morgagni and Viale Regina Margherita, was commissioned by the Authority from architect Venturino Ventura. The irregularly shaped lot contains three separate blocks, intended to house commercial activities in the basement and ground floor, while the upper floors are used for offices.
The three buildings, entirely covered in curtain walls, are supported by large fluted truncated-conical pillars.
Between the buildings, the space of the square is modelled to unite the different street levels and determines a space for crossing but also for meeting.
The square in the center of the three buildings was completely redeveloped in 2022 under the artistic direction of Architect Thomas Bartoli. There are few traces left of the old architectural system designed by Venturino Ventura. Today, the new Piazza Morgagni features a new paving design, large green surfaces with flowerbeds surrounded by travertine and steel seats, LED lighting positioned on metal tree structures and powered by energy produced by photovoltaic systems.
The new design aims to create a more relational dimension, a modern agora where people can meet and spend pleasant moments of everyday life.
