Libeskind Residences in CityLife
A sculptural residential architecture in the heart of CityLife
Located in the new CityLife urban hub, amidst urban greenery, Zaha Hadid residences, and the iconic three towers, the Daniel Libeskind-designed Residences are nestled within an architecturally outstanding setting.
The project creates a residential “archipelago” that reinterprets the ancient Milanese courtyards in a contemporary key.
Eight buildings ranging from 5 to 14 stories are arranged around a large internal courtyard. They revisit the classic Milanese villa module with a dynamic and sculptural language.
The façade conveys the project's philosophy: a texture of gray Casalgrande Padana tiles. It is embellished with overhanging balconies and composite wood brise-soleil. These elements create an undulating rhythm and enhance the views overlooking the park.
Architectural aspects
Different heights and urban densitiesThe buildings, ranging from seven stories near Via Spinola to fourteen stories along Via Berengario, are designed to ensure natural light, ventilation, and a sense of visual lightness.
Quality residences: 380 residential units – from one-bedroom apartments to double-height "sky villas" with panoramic terraces overlooking the city. Each unit has its own identity thanks to the unique geometry of the terraces.
Integrated urban courtyardThe heart of the archipelago is designed as an internal pedestrian "square," complete with greenery, paths, and children's playgrounds. Vehicle traffic is relegated to the basement, facilitating access to private garages.
Sustainability and living experience
The buildings are energy certified (class A+ or A in DINNER). They focus on efficiency through radiant heating and cooling systems, advanced insulation, and photovoltaic panels on the roofs.
Ceramic bricks, composite wood brise-soleil, and large balconies create an outdoor home that balances privacy, sociability, and everyday comfort.
