Green driveways

Interlocking for parking lots and gardens

Textures for green surfaces for parking, public spaces, gardens, surfaces with interlocking blocks that let grass grow inside them. The use of this type of surface is recommended in access routes for cars and rubber-tyred vehicles, public and private parking areas, pedestrian paths in parks and gardens, equipped areas such as gazebo areas, barbecue areas, etc...

Every year, large portions of land are designated to accommodate new homes and related urbanization works, such as parking lots: all of this reduces the draining surface of the soil with serious consequences on the hydrogeological balance.
Green parking lots are the ideal solution to combine urban development and respect for the environment.

Here are some of the main characteristics of green driveways:

Permeable flooring:

These surfaces often use permeable paving materials, which allow water to infiltrate into the ground rather than flowing directly into drainage systems. This helps reduce the risk of flooding and improve water quality.

Vegetation: Green driveways can include areas planted with grass, plants, or trees. These plant elements not only help capture carbon and produce oxygen, but can also help mitigate the heat island effect, reducing temperatures in urban areas.

Sustainable Drainage SystemsSustainable drainage systems, such as artificial streams or wetlands, are often implemented to manage stormwater in a natural and sustainable way.

Reduction of pollution: Green driveways can help reduce air and water pollution, as plants absorb pollutants and suspended particles.

Green parking lotsGreen parking lots are a common example of green driveway surfaces, where a portion of the parking lot is covered with grass, shrubs, or trees to improve aesthetics and sustainability.

Pedestrian areas: Pedestrian areas can be built using eco-friendly materials or be surrounded by vegetation to make the experience more pleasant and sustainable for pedestrians.

Green driveways are an important part of sustainable urban design and can help create greener, more enjoyable communities.
