Grids – Perforated sheets
Textures for rendering
In architecture, grid and grate textures are used for a variety of functional and aesthetic purposes.
Examples of use:
- for ventilated facades to improve energy efficiency;
- for solar screens to reduce solar heating;
- for industrial or parking floors to allow water drainage;
- in pedestrian areas or parks where effective stormwater management is required, drainage grates can be integrated into the landscape design to blend in with the environment;
- for the protection of trees in tree-lined city avenues, allowing the healthy growth of plants without compromising the safety of pedestrians.
Grid, grate and perforated sheet metal textures with different surface treatments can add a significant level of detail and realism to architectural renderings.
