Fort Worth Modern Art Museum

Tadao Ando – Fort Worth Modern Art Museum, Darnell St. Fort Worth, Texas USA, 2002

The Museum of Modern Art in Fort Worth exemplifies the work of the Japanese architect Tadao Ando through its simple geometry, the close relationship with the natural environment and the use of very minimal materials. Five pavilions with a flat roof seem to float on the surface of the reflective pond, like other projects by Ando.
The environment becomes as beautiful as the works of art that the museum exhibits, as it is strongly intertwined with the exhibition spaces through large windows. Glass and water are very complementary, as the tranquil pond reflects spaces just like glass reflects water.
