Stabilizing works 06 – Palisade

Scale 1:100

The technique of wooden palisade with cuttings and/or seedlings is a system similar to wickerwork, which combines the use of cuttings with fixed wooden structures for the stabilization of slopes and embankments, natural or artificial, in disrepair.
With this system, the slopes tend to be re-greened by forming small linear steps, supported by wooden structures, which run along the contour lines of the slope and where, upstream, earthy material collects. The plants, once the vegetation has developed, will ensure a consolidation of the soil with the root system and resistance to surface erosion, with their epigeal part.
