Koizumi Sangyo Office Building

Photo galleries

The purpose of the Koizumi Sangyo Office Building project was to develop something from within. Instead of imposing something new from the outside. In the postwar tradition of curtain wall construction, there is the possibility of introducing abnormal elements that could burst and cause both the interior and exterior of the structure to change, like putting a grain of sand in an oyster to grow a pearl. Therefore, K Architects and Associates designed an office building and Eisenman Architects inserted two pieces of sand in the top and bottom opposite corners.
