Architecture: Open Studi Aperti is back on 24 and 25 May

The event will unite all the Italian studios in a single large event spread throughout the country.

Rome, 24 April 2019. In the 2018 edition, over 40 thousand citizens participated in the events organized by the over 750 studios of 92 Provinces that have joined Open Studi Aperti, the initiative of the National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators that 24 and 25 May returns throughout Italy.

The objective, for what can be defined as the most important widespread manifestation of architecture, is to spread the architectural culture and renew the sensitivity towards the environment, the landscape and the territories to testify that architecture does not only concern architects or builders but, above all, citizens as fundamental for their quality of life.

For Alessandra Ferrari, Coordinator of the Promotion Department of Architectural Culture and the figure of the architect, "Open Studi Aperti responds above all to a need of citizens, that architecture is for everyone. From a survey that the National Council commissioned to Makno – on the occasion of our National Congress – on the perception that the common opinion has of the architect, it emerges, in fact, that this professional figure is increasingly required to have a great ability to listen: to understand the individual needs and those of the communities that increasingly want to participate in the choices concerning the environment and the future of cities and territories ".
