Construction Site Sign

Among the rules to be respected by those who intend to carry out construction work there is also the obligation to display the construction site sign.
The sign must be displayed in a highly visible manner, usually near the entrance to the construction site.

The construction site sign must indicate:

  • The type of work in progress
  • The client
  • The company that is performing them
  • The construction manager
  • Start and end date of works

In addition to this data, all other information indicated on the sign is mandatory.
Compliance with this obligation is often underestimated, but failure to display, omitting information or placing it in a hidden or barely visible manner can result in high fines.

In the case of private works, the dimensions of the sign are established by the special tender specifications, in the case of public works they are set by the Circular of the Ministry of Public Works n. 1729/UL of 1 June 1990 and established in the minimum dimensions of 1 m base x 2 m height.
