Construction detail of a floor with a heating screed to provide heat to the rooms.
What is a heating screed?
A heating screed is a cement-based screed in which there is a system of spiral pipes in which a fluid able to heat the rooms through the floor flows.
The heat of the floor is produced by the heating system of the house which will be sized according to the rooms to be heated.
When the screed has been completed, the heating system must be put into operation gradually to promote stabilization without damaging tensions and bring the screed to a degree of drying that guarantees its stability over time.
The thickness of the screed must be at least 6 cm to guarantee at least 3 cm above the level of the pipes.
The vapor barrier inserted between the leveling layer and the thermal insulation is essential.
