Copper

Textures for Rendering

Lots of copper textures with different surface treatments and various degrees of oxidation

In architecture, copper is used to make roofs and roofing, gutters, flashings, downspouts and other sheet metal elements. This metal is prized for its color, which changes over time when exposed to weathering: first it browns to a dark brown, then, with carbonation, it gradually turns green.

The key to good rendering is attention to detail and experimentation. Try different textures and settings in your rendering software to get the exact look you want for copper with different surface treatments and degrees of oxidation.
