It is a linear stabilizing arrangement on the bank, composed of a weaving of rods, fixed to the ground by wooden pegs and, connected, buried. The arrangement of the discriminations can be a horizontal or cross file to form a construction of diamonds or squares. To be effective it must be made with live material with the ability to release adventitious roots.
