Drawing or furniture templates are used when standard symbols must be drawn “by hand” repeatedly. A drafting template is a flat piece of plastic with standard symbols cut out inside.

The development of models and architectural figures are used as a guide to draw symbols of various types on the project. There are models for different scales of representation.
Drafting templates are also available for a variety of floor plans and elevation/elevation systems. There are many symbols that can be represented through masks, furnishings, doors, windows, taps, electrical devices, urban planning symbols, etc…etc…

The use was very simple but required a lot of attention, you placed the tip of the rapidograph and followed the contour of the figure to be drawn. You must always be careful to keep the same inclination of the tip especially at the closing of the figure to make the line coincide perfectly.

The use of furniture templates could and perhaps in some cases can greatly speed up the process of creating technical drawings for furniture projects, allowing you to focus on the design and specifications of the project rather than the detailed drawing of each element.
