Wood technology

Wood in its natural state is used in the construction sector for structures, components, finishes and as an auxiliary material for construction site work.
It is also used as a base material for the manufacture of various composite, layered or laminated materials.
The advantages of wood are many, among the main ones are: easy to find; good workability; notable lightness; mechanical resistance to different types of stress.
On the other hand, it has: anisotropy; dimensional instability when humidity varies; flammability; low resistance to biological attacks.
