Bianca Villa in Seveso

Giuseppe Terragni – Corso Garibaldi Seveso 87, Seveso, Italy, 1936-1937

In this project Terragni has a lot of design freedom, the villa was built for his cousin Angelo between 1936 and 1937.
Terragni elaborates a large quantity of sketches and projects to study this type of single-family house, continuing the research begun with the Villa on the lake and the Villa of the florist.
The villa has a reinforced concrete structure, and covered with gray gneiss stone elements, arranged in parallel courses; the windows, in gray painted iron as well as the railings, are surrounded by white marble.
Villa Bianca in Seveso remains, among the works of Terragni, an example of great modernity.
