Bauhaus house for teachers

Walter Gropius – Gropiusallee 38, Dessau, Germany, 1925-1926

Gropius designed a series of semi-detached houses for the masters of design who taught at the Bauhaus. This small neighborhood, nestled in a pine forest near the school building itself, was an idyllic home for artists such as Lyonel Feininger, Oskar Schlemmer and Gropius himself.
