Location
Parigi, Francia
Year
1927
Architect
Le Corbusier
It is one of the rare creations of Le Corbusier of the house subject to the constraints of the common walls.
The painter Auguste Herbin had his studio in the 1930s. It was also the home of the Abstraction-Creation movement that he had created in 1931 with Georges Vantongerloo, Hans Arp, Albert Gleizes, Jean Helion, Georges Valmier and František Kupka.
Its facades and roofs were inscribed in historical monuments with a decree of August 16, 1976.
This house is reminiscent of the one built by Adolf Loos for Tristan Tzara in 1926, Avenue Junot in Paris. The building consists of 3 painting workshops and the house.
